| Danbury Maximizes Recovery
Through Carefully Chosen Strategies and by Micro-managing Every Sale. |
| Every asset disposition event managed by Danbury follows a deliberate process, coordinated and controlled at every level by our hands-on principals and highly-experienced operations personnel. They know what will and will not work to attract the most qualified buyers and effectively market the assets being sold. |
| |
| Strategy first. |
Typically, the process begins with the development of a disposition strategy.
It defines the best method for achieving the highest level of recovery, taking into account market factors and timing, both of which can affect results. For example, recovery through retail liquidation or wholesale disposition or an auction sale may better reflect true values and yield cash, sooner.
However, when specialized inventory or assets are involved and time is not as critical a factor, higher recovery values may be realized through an orderly liquidation sale involving multiple retail or wholesale locations or negotiated sales in bulk. Often times, a combined orderly liquidation sale followed by an auction strategy can be most effective for machinery and equipment assets.
|
| Event implementation next. |
Once a strategic plan is set, field managers, support staff, professionals from our organization focus on maximizing recovery by micro-managing the entire sale event.
- Retail sites are consolidated and restocked or manufacturing facilities and equipment are thoroughly cleaned. Equipment, fixed assets, rolling stock, tooling and accessories are properly organized and displayed in lots suitable for purchase. Every asset is accounted for, listed, and many are photographed for buyer’s guides and other marketing materials.
- Potential buyers are exposed to the inventory or assets being sold through specialized advertising techniques. Integrated media plans can include direct mail brochures, newspaper and trade journal advertising, fax mail, e-mail, catalogs, web site listings and “preview days.” We maintain proprietary lists of known retail, wholesale and auction buyers for specific types of inventory and assets, and are continually pursuing new avenues and methods for inventory and asset disposition.
- During auctions, we schedule certain assets to be sold first in order to generate higher prices. Other assets are selectively scheduled to maximize return.
- During and following a retail, wholesale or auction sale, Danbury commits personnel to oversee security, collect payments, oversee inventory and asset removal, and assure that the premises are left in pre-sale condition or better.
- Our web site is configured to enable online buying, proxy bids and viewing/downloading of sale catalogs and advertising available. In appropriate circumstances, online auctions can be staged.
- We devote the same high performance standards to every sale, large or small.
