Seasoned People, Proven Techniques and Performance Guarantees Assure the Most Successful Auctions, Liquidations and Retail Sales.

Each year, Danbury conducts more than 100 retail and wholesale liquidations, auctions and orderly liquidation sales. Our corporate lineage spans more than 54 years, and in that time we have repositioned inventory and physical assets valued at more than $2.5 billion.

We know the true value

Our principals—in fact all members of our professional staff—have purposefully self-developed into “industry specialists.” Whatever a company’s business or the nature of its inventory or assets, our performance is underpinned by a thorough understanding of values and marketability.

Our work is backed by cash guarantees

In fact, we’re so confident of our understanding of values, and our ability to optimize return through skilled marketing, we are willing to put ourselves in a financial risk position by providing cash guarantees.

Danbury...for a Greater Appreciation of the Value of Your Inventory

As those who have worked with Danbury what they think is our most important skill and you’ll hear: It’s their understanding of the value of the transaction beyond the intrinsic value of the goods.

Our valuation and liquidation specialists are adept at assessing the impact of non-inventory factors on recovery value and speed - such as retailing trends, competition, economic conditions, customer demographics, database quality, consumer goodwill, governmental regulations and the equity in a retail brand. This unique skill set, combined with the knowledge needed to increase sales and reduce expenses in the face of these factors, results in substantially greater recovery of asset value than is typical in the liquidation industry.
Danbury Guarantees Performance with a Guaranteed Net Cash Return

We are prepared to back up our work by putting ourselves in a financial risk position — by purchasing inventory or assets outright or guaranteeing a net return. Rest assured, Danbury has the liquidity and cash availability to pay these guarantees.

You will appreciate the flexibility we offer in structuring compensation arrangements.
The most common options are:

  • an outright cash buyout of inventory or assets
  • a commission structured proposal with our “Buyer’s Premium”
  • a net minimum guarantee with participation in which we establish our return expectations and payout guarantee.

Of course, Danbury will gladly work under the compensation arrangement that best suits your circumstances. In fact, we often structure arrangements involving aspects of all three options.
